The School of Design of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University has a long history in providing design education in Hong Kong. Since 1967, the school has taken a world lead in establishing a new, integrated and multidisciplinary design curriculum.

Encouraging and nurturing creativity and innovation remains the central task supported by the most technological advanced design tools.

The school is also actively engaged in applied research and consultancy support to industries and the professions, together with a full range of academic programmes. Its mission is to design a future that is technologically advanced, but user centered - a future that is culturally desirable, and economically and environmentally sustainable.
